Would we be able to complete a quest without Saito? It was a frustrating question with many real problems.
First of all, I didn’t have a driver’s license. If you asked whether I needed a driver’s license to drive in this world, it probably wasn’t necessary. In the first place, I had left behind my driver’s license in the other world. However, this didn’t mean I could drive without any issues. Google Spreadsheets didn’t have any qualification requirements, but a Microsoft Office Specialist Excel expert would be able to get the hang of things more quickly. Even in situations where qualifications weren’t required, those with qualifications were in a stronger position.
That was why I was now in the passenger seat of Inoue’s car. Inoue seemed to have a driver’s license, but that didn’t mean there weren’t any problems. I had seen many people who said, “I’m a Microsoft Office Specialist, so Excel is fine!”, but it was all just for show. What do you mean “I don’t know because I never learned it”? It’s your job to find out and do something about it.
No, I didn’t really care about the Microsoft Office Specialist qualification. The problem was Inoue’s driving. She said there weren’t going to be any problems, but no matter how I looked at it, there were problems everywhere. Even I, who didn’t have a license here, could tell.
First of all, when we left, the car sped up suddenly and almost ran over a worker in the parking lot. The road to the quest was a highway of sorts, so there were no traffic lights or pedestrians, but there were still many curves. There seemed to be no division between the driving lane and overtaking lane, but the sensible workers, including Saito, usually used the left lane for driving and the right lane for overtaking. Inoue on the other hand seemed to be completely unaware of this. She drove at a leisurely pace in the right lane for a long time, only changing lanes when the cars behind her changed lanes. All while seemingly unaware of her surroundings. Once, she got too close to the car in the next lane and got honked at and all she did was mutter “Just shut up”.
Although we arrived at today’s quest location without incident, a quest without Saito held nothing but anxiety.
