The bat that I swung down was stopped without a sound just before crushing Yamashita’s head. When I looked over, Yamashita’s tie was wrapped around it, stopping it. I tried to swing the bat back, but I couldn’t move it up, down, left, or right.
“Eh? Eh? What?”
Manager Yamashita mysteriously stood up from his collapsed position, as if a video had rewound, as he turned to me with a grin on his face. Immediately, the bat that was wrapped up by the tie was snatched away with a strong force. The manager’s tie then threw the bat away with a flexible motion.
I thought it was an illusion, but the tie was clearly longer than it was before. The continuously growing tie wrapped around my unarmed body as it lifted me up easily.
“Takahashi-san! Run away!”
Inoue slipped in and cut off the base of the tie with a pair of branch shears. I dropped to the ground with a thud and pulled back as I untangled myself.
“Manager Yamashita? Was it? I like old men and young men, but I can’t have that belly! Please go on a diet and start over again. Teiii-!!”
Inoue’s precise attack with the branch shears cut off Yamashita’s right arm.
“Hahahahaha. My highly polished shears for cutting tall branches can be easily used on iron rods. Now, the price is still at 9,800 Yen, including spare blades and a saw attachment! Call us, toll-free, right away!! Hah!!”
Manager Yamashita’s head was cut off by Inoue’s shears. His head rolled to the ground with a thud, maintaining his grinning expression.
“Okay! It’s all cleared up. Takahashi-san, would you like to take care of it?”
I felt like I saw something dark behind Inoue as she said that proudly.
