A small robot, about 8m tall, was placed in a corner of the exhibition room.
“What is this?”
“Afterglow, a special robot equipped with a holographic device. It was actually operated as a 10m class robot.”
“What do you mean by ‘actually’?
She snapped her fingers.
A hologram was deployed from the robot’s shoulders, covering the robot like a black mist.
“Like this, the whole robot would be covered by a hologram to trick others into thinking it was one size larger than it actually was. The advantage is trivial but cannot be overlooked. It contributed to an increase in the survival rate of this robot because enemies were unable to grasp its real size.”
The shimmering Afterglow was like a ghost.
If I had met one on the battlefield, I would have used it in ghost stories.
“Other than that, it had the ability to slightly disrupt sensors in its surroundings. It was difficult to pin down the exact location of this robot on the battlefield. They could tell something was out there, but they didn’t know its position or appearance. This gave better than expected results under the extreme conditions of a chaotic battlefield.”
The stress would be extraordinary.
It would be like seeing a bug appearing inside a room before disappearing into the shadows, except a thousand times more intense.
Or, it would be like being attacked in the dark.
“It’s a masterpiece robot that was used for a variety of purposes, from ambushes to escorts. However, its individual performance wasn’t durable enough for experts. Once the deception was uncovered, it was like a scarecrow.”
