Legend Chapter 277

Here’s Chapter 277,

Hell, it’s about time.

Forgot to mention in the last chapter, I haven’t settled on Theorem’s title of Glint for now.
The literal translation of his title refers to a ‘flash of light’. Unfortunately, I have no information as to why he would have that title or what it would refer to. Because of that, I may change that in future once I figure out how he got that title.

For any FGO JP server players, I rolled Castoria on the 5th anniversary event so feeling pretty good about that.

Legend Chapter 276

Here’s Chapter 276,

Say hi to the guy on the other side.
You might see him more in future arcs……

After this chapter, stuff start to accelerate as the war gets going and the going gets tough.
Aren’t you glad that you now get two chapters a week ahaha.

This weekend has netted me really little sleep though……I should really go to sleep before 2:30am……

Legend Chapter 274

Here’s Chapter 274,

Get ready for the smack down!

By popular vote, chapters will continue to come out on Monday.

When I posted this chapter I was wondering why there hadn’t been an illustration for a while.
Turns out it’s because I missed one.
Chapter 268, as Elena makes short work of Renodis’s sword, both figuratively and literally.

Legend Chapter 273

Here’s Chapter 273,

Renodis has request a smackdown, and a smackdown he shall recieve.

It has been brought to my attention that some of you may prefer chapters to be evenly spaced out across the week, such as Sun+Wed/Thu as opposed to Sun/Mon.
So, a quick poll for that here: https://www.strawpoll.me/20737601
This poll is only for today as I will decided based on the poll later tonight.
I also suggest voting before reading this chapter, or there might be some……bias.

Legend Chapter 271

Here’s Chapter 271,

What magic could Rei be thinking of I wonder……

Based on last week’s poll, Ara vs Arla……has basically gone to a 50/50 split.
As such, I will hold off any name changes for now.
On the other hand, one name change that is going through is ‘Imperial Capital’ -> ‘Royal Capital’.
I’ll be honest, it’s felt a bit weird to call a kingdom’s capital ‘Imperial’ rather than ‘Royal’.
I will be updating past chapters, but that may take some time.

Also based on comments last week, a lot of you seem to want me to move to at least 2 chapters per week. Well, I’ll give that a shot then. Chapters will now come out on Sundays and Mondays, at least, if I can sustain it. We’ll see, eh?

Legend Chapter 270

Here’s Chapter 270,

It’s rough third wheeling as Ara.
On a related note, some people have been asking about the translation of Ara’s name, so I thought I’d ask, Ara or Arla? https://www.strawpoll.me/20662865

Unrelated to this chapter, I’ve seen a few comments recently regarding how long it will take me to catch up to the raws which I thought I’d address in a longer post.

tldr; I will never catch up to the raws and, short of Legend getting an official translation, even if I gave it to a group to do, they probably wouldn’t catch up to the raws in 5 years.

Doing some basic math, if I translated 30 chapters a week, it would take two years to catch up to the raws if the story doesn’t end before then. That is an insane amount of translation to do per week, close to 8,500 translated words per day.

Because of that, some people have suggested to get more people to help out. In all honesty, I’ve talked about this to other translators as well, and the general consensus is that having more people doesn’t necessarily speed up translations due to the additional coordination, editing and communication required.

If you would like me to translate more chapters per week, it might be something I can work out. But if you are thinking of catching up with the raws, the honest truth is that that will never happen.

This isn’t meant to be a rant, if anyone took this as such, but more of an FYI since I know some people might not want to read a series if they know the translations will probably never be completed.

Legend Chapter 268

Here’s Chapter 268,

No rewards for guessing who the person coming up the hill was.

Siminar was a nice guy, but you can’t hate on a nice noble, so we’ll have to fix that.

Lastly, to the people who hoped that the chapter wouldn’t end with meeting Elena……
