“That’s a home made flamethrower. Where did you learn to do that? You’re such an angry young man.”
I thought I was helping, but maybe Saito didn’t need it.
“From Youtube. Saito-san, don’t you watch Youtube videos?”
“I only watch movies. Hey, look for the core instead.”
No matter what form IMPORTRANGE appeared as, it had a marble shaped core in the inside. It seems that no matter what was cut off or burned, as long as the core remained, it would continue to regenerate forever. I won’t let this happen again, I don’t want to see Yamashita’s face ever again.
As we searched the remains of Manager Yamashita, we found a gleaming object at the center where the cinders were slowly gathering.
“IMPORTRANGE.”
Saito picked it up and processed it. The core was sucked into a cell and the room was filled with a yellow light. It seems that the range of data written using the IMPORTRANGE was quite large. It was a brighter light than I had seen on any quest so far.
“Good job. You saved me today, thank you.”
This might have been the first time Saito had ever thanked me. I was upset when I saw Manager Yamashita today, but I guess I was able to recover somehow. Thinking back to my past work, I felt I had grown as a worker.

“I do wonder though, why do some functions look like obvious movie characters?”
Looking back, the IMPORTXML and IMPORTRANGE that were processed in the quest looked exactly the same as in Ghostbusters. No wonder Saito was so excited. Functions always looked like that. SUMIFS looked like something from a Ghibli movie, QUERY was clearly from The Matrix, and DPRODUCT, which I hadn’t seen yet, was a Predator. All of them were clearly movie characters. It couldn’t be a coincidence.
“That’s because the similarity is just a hobby of their creator.”
“Huh? Takahashi-san, have you never met the developer?”
