Lost power at my place early Saturday night due to heavy storms and only just got it back early this morning (Monday), so didn’t manage to work on chapter 510 at all. Normally, I’d head over to the local library to leech off power, but that was closed due to water damage yesterday unfortunately.
Either way, no chapter today, but will try to get it out some time this week.
Also having my own first world problems. Only, this one might be worse because my neighborhood has not had running water all day today. It is to the point where I am going to be staying over at a family member’s house tonight and possibly hang out there all of tomorrow to let this bullshit blow over.
This is also the day my recurring stomach problems decided to act up, so put two and two together and you can probably tell why no running water + bubblegut is among the worst possible scenarios for something like this. I feel like the only worse scenario might be when one is deathly sick and desperately needs a constant supply of water.
Point is, you are probably luckier than me. My day is kind of like the embodiment of Murphy’s Law at this point. Water mains suddenly broke at multiple points in my neighborhood today. And apparently the problem is so bad they are going to have to replace the whole series of pipes in my neighborhood in the near future.
It is pretty much like a natural disaster wrecked the water supply of my neighborhood, except without any actual natural disaster as the cause. Just sudden catastrophic failure.
Sorry to hear that. Hope things get better for you over the next week. Being sick already doesn’t feel good and I can’t imagine how rough it would be without water as well. I pray for all the best, as with many things, let’s hope things get fixed sooner than later eh?
