“It’s a Samurai Sword. It’s incredibly sharp. The official name has changed many times over the course of research, including sword and sabre.”
“How sharp is ‘incredibly sharp’?”
She snapped her fingers.
With her snap, an image was projected onto a wall.
Tomatoes on a chopping board were sliced and diced.
“Tomatoes (synthetic) and konjacs can be easily cut like this!”
Is this a sales pitch?
“Jokes aside……it was said to be able to cut through almost all matter in the galaxy. There are not many things that couldn’t be cut. It is a noble and sophisticated weapon from a more advanced age and is highly regarded by weapons enthusiasts.”
I looked at the sword on display.
There was a burn mark on the hilt, suggesting that it had survived a fierce battle.
A small animal-like pattern could be seen on the blade.
“The marks on the hilt are attributed to heat from lava. It tells of a fierce battle. The quadrupedal creature carved on the blade is said to be an mythical creature, but the details are unknown. The weapon had been used in many battles, but was lost after a duel on a gaseous planet. The museum recovered it along with the wielder arm, which had been cut off. If you look at it from an angle, the blade will sometimes be dyed red……”
“It is a weapon with many anecdotes……”
“On that note, the way this weapon works is that coming in contact with the blade causes resonance collapse. It is one of those out-of-place artefacts. I heard that it was so sharp that an untrained user could sometimes hurt themselves.”
It definitely is……a sophisticated weapon.
It doesn’t look like it could be handled by ordinary people.
