“What is this?“
A small data storage device was placed inside a glass case.
“This is a common data storage device, but it is the only physical device that contains some ‘data’ that was used as a weapon.”
“Is it a computer virus?”
“No. It’s a visual curse. Oh, of course, that was just a metaphor. It was created artificially from a scientific perspective.”
“A curse?”
“Yes. Unlike the magical weapon Frazer, this weapon puts the the viewer into a hypnotic state and drives them to death. It was used as an offensive weapon by sending it through communication channels.”
“Did it work?”
“In the turmoil of war, it was accidentally broadcast over public communication channels and it seems that it killed an entire civilisation.”
It was a terrible story.
“If you really want to……do you want to take a look?”
“Has it undergone safety processing?”
“It should have, but I’m not entirely sure……I don’t have confirmation as the technical staff who did the safety processing disappeared the next day.”
“No thanks.”
I think it would be better not to get involved with it.
“That said, this should just be some visual data, but when I do my night rounds, its position inside the case sometimes shifts slightly. I wonder why?”
