Just a few quick notes, turns out I’ve mistranslated Seryl’s party. It should be Dark Night’s Star instead of Dark Star. Sorry about that, I’ll fix the previous chapters as soon as I can.

Secondly, turns out Rhodes is actually a tsundere to Rei, who would have thought?

Here’s Chapter 31.

Feeling a bit tired this morning so I apologise if the grammar is off anywhere. The sentences in this chapter were also really long. I should really find someone to edit for me sometime….maybe.

Well that aside, the night raid begins. Orcs die, more Orcs die and Orcs Must Die 2. Sorry, just had to say that. Also Axe of the Thunder God, Elk brings the axe, so guess what Min brings?

Here’s Chapter 30.

Woke up late today so I only just managed to finish the editing 10 minutes ago. Neighbours were blasting music at 2am in the morning -_-.

Anyway, just a few notes, firstly, I’m changing beast people to beastkin, it sounds better to me and feels easier to read.

Secondly, there’s a part near the end of this chapter which is a bit…..morally ambiguous. I would just like to say that this is just a story and this is how the author has written it, no need to cause a fuss over what Rei should have done.

Lastly, I really wish Rei would look up what he’s fighting before he actually fights them, every time he takes out the dismantling book it feels like ‘Whoops, I forgot to check.’

Here’s Chapter 28.

Here’s the real Chapter 27 in proper, modern English.

Firstly, this chapter may come out a bit later than usual, a Daylight Saving time change occurred this morning  where I am, so I’m not sure how WordPress will do the scheduled releases.

By popular vote, I will be adding back honourifics to the names. The past chapters may take a bit longer to update depending on how much time I have.

I will also be using a mix of Romaji and English titles depending on which one I feel gives a clearer meaning.

Lastly, the April Fool’s chapter won’t have a previous/next chapter link but I will provide a link to it in the Table of Contents in case anyone wants to check back on it in future.

An this April Daw’s day, i giveth thee a chapt’r in Shakespearean Chapter 27. The prop’r English chapt’r shall cometh out on the usual day.

(Note, this is an actual chapter just turned into Shakespearen, so technically if you can read it, then you can read the chapter early.)

EDIT: I just shoved the entire chapter into a English to Shakespearean translator for those who are wondering, so the result isn’t intended to be perfect Shakespearen, just a fyi.

Here’s Chapter 26.

Before you continue, I would just like to note a few things.

Firstly, I’ll be retroactively changing griffon and goblin to Griffon and Goblin. This is for consistency with the rest of the monster naming.

Secondly, a bunch of characters started to use honourifics, which confused me for a moment because the earlier characters didn’t use them. I’ve left them out for this chapter but would you prefer me to keep or drop the honourifics? Poll below.

Also I really think that Rei should read the dismantling guide before and not after mincing monsters, I reckon it would make retrieving stuff much easier.

And lets face it, after Goblin Dro- *cough* Claws of the Hawk appeared last chapter, you can’t say you didn’t expect what the next monster was going to be.
