Legend Chapter 27 (Actual Chapter)

Here’s the real Chapter 27 in proper, modern English.

Firstly, this chapter may come out a bit later than usual, a Daylight Saving time change occurred this morning  where I am, so I’m not sure how WordPress will do the scheduled releases.

By popular vote, I will be adding back honourifics to the names. The past chapters may take a bit longer to update depending on how much time I have.

I will also be using a mix of Romaji and English titles depending on which one I feel gives a clearer meaning.

Lastly, the April Fool’s chapter won’t have a previous/next chapter link but I will provide a link to it in the Table of Contents in case anyone wants to check back on it in future.

Legend Chapter 27 (AF)

An this April Daw’s day, i giveth thee a chapt’r in Shakespearean Chapter 27. The prop’r English chapt’r shall cometh out on the usual day.

(Note, this is an actual chapter just turned into Shakespearen, so technically if you can read it, then you can read the chapter early.)

EDIT: I just shoved the entire chapter into a English to Shakespearean translator for those who are wondering, so the result isn’t intended to be perfect Shakespearen, just a fyi.

Legend Chapter 26

Here’s Chapter 26.

Before you continue, I would just like to note a few things.

Firstly, I’ll be retroactively changing griffon and goblin to Griffon and Goblin. This is for consistency with the rest of the monster naming.

Secondly, a bunch of characters started to use honourifics, which confused me for a moment because the earlier characters didn’t use them. I’ve left them out for this chapter but would you prefer me to keep or drop the honourifics? Poll below.

Thirdly, I’ve been using mum and dad as opposed to okaasan and otousan. Should I keep with the current naming or use the Romaji equivalents? Poll Below.      http://strawpoll.me/7194723

Thanks for taking the time to answer if you did and enjoy the chapter.

Legend Chapters 22-25

Here’s Chapter 22…and 23…and 24…and 25……yeah.

You’re all probably wondering why you got 4 chapters instead of the normal 1. Well, it’s not a birthday present, unless it is your birthday, which in that case happy birthday.

The translator’s corner discord chat ran a mahjong tournament which I entered. Unfortunately, I seem to have missed the part about the loser of each round having to pay in either songs or chapters, chapter/6 points or song/2 points.

Aaaaand I lost by 18 points T.T so it’s the weekly chapter + 3 more.

So I would like to take this time to say gamble responsibly, and if possible, don’t gamble at all.

Well aside from that, enjoy the chapters XD.

Firstly is the finale to the Queen Ant fight. Then the receptionist is introduced, you know, the one with the ponytail that never had a name. After that, we finally get into the main story of this arc, the Orcs.

Legend Chapter 21

Here’s Chapter 21.

For those wondering how you use a fire breath, this is how you use a fire breath XD.

Also I really think that Rei should read the dismantling guide before and not after mincing monsters, I reckon it would make retrieving stuff much easier.

And lets face it, after Goblin Dro- *cough* Claws of the Hawk appeared last chapter, you can’t say you didn’t expect what the next monster was going to be.

Legend Chapter 20

Here’s Chapter 20, this is an automated chapter post as I’ll be out for most of the day. Hopefully the link works when it’s released. Also, could someone post this on reddit? I’ll put the format for the reddit post at the very bottom.

We’re almost halfway through the first arc so maybe the orcs that are supposed to be in this arc will appear soon.

About the chapter, we usually read lords and rulers as being nasty people, but if you think about it from their perspective, they don’t necessarily have the nicest life either.

For those wondering how the city was built, there’s a tidbit for you guys as well.

Lastly for those wondering what happened to the Claws of the Hawk…yeah, well, you’ll see.

Legend Chapter 19

Here’s Chapter 19, sorry it’s a bit late.

I usually do my editing right before I release it and I ended up spending too much time reading other novels today.

Rei continues hunting in this chapter, kinda reminds me of Death March with the looking for food.

Lastly, for the record, I am a MTLer for those that didn’t know. I know limited amounts of Japanese and am using translator aggregator to help TL this.

Legend Chapter 18

Here’s Chapter 18

Sorry about the broken link last week. I’ve been scheduling the chapters for the past few weeks and sometimes I forget to check all the links. On that note, my release time is GMT 00:00 for those that want to know.

For those that get linked from reddit, you’ll probably see this chapter a bit later because I’m usually busy during the release time which means that I don’t post it on reddit. If someone can do that, feel free to do so.

Finally something about the chapter, Rei should really check what he can cut with the Death Scythe, finding out on the spot is all good but only if he can cut it, if he can’t then that’s going to get a little awkward.

Legend Chapter 17

Here’s Chapter 17.

Sometimes I forget that I’m a few chapters ahead of you guys and end up leaving cliffhangers without thinking much about it.

In this chapter, the staple of fantasy stories in introduced, I mean what kind of fantasy doesn’t have goblins? Come to think of it, I don’t recall ever hearing about goblins in Lord of the Rings…either that or because I’ve never read the trilogy.

EDIT: My bad guys, I forgot to make it a child page under the Legend group which mean that it had a different name, link should be working now.
