33. Hydrangeas Dyed Blood Red

The next one was blue.

“The second in the Death Flower series, Hydrangea. This robot features an ultra long range sniper rifle on its back. As usual, it has no other equipment.

“How long is ultra long range?”

“In an ideal environment, it can reach from one end of the galaxy to the other. Its power isn’t reduced in the vacuum of space. That said, its effective range was much less as it had to avoid the gravitational fields of planets.”

Was it really necessary to make this a robot?

As far as I had heard, it sounded more like a strategic weapon or something.

“When shooting, it would sometimes go over its power limit, causing its heat resistant surface armour to turn red.”

“It’s much better than the first one.”

It really is an extreme design.

“It seems that this robot was operated quite effectively. The skill required of the pilot was quite considerable though. If the sights were even slightly off, they wouldn’t hit anything.”

“You have to aim it manually?”

“Yes.”

“What kind of people were the inventors……”

“Craftsmen. This robot was confiscated by the enemy after the war ended, but it seemed that no one was success in ever sniping with it.”
